GLENMONT, N.Y.—The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire launched a new and improved PIA e-Training Center, which can be found at www.piaonline.org/EDU/etrain/learn_jump.shtml or by logging on to PIA’s Web site and typing EC10062 in the Quick-Link box.
In addition to the number of education programs already offered by the four state associations, by partnering with Learn.net, PIANY, PIANJ, PIACT and PIANH now offer their members 70 more low-cost, continuing education courses. Also, PIA members now have access to more than 2,000 non-CE computer, business and technical online courses. These courses are designed for busy insurance professionals who are unable to find the time to attend off-site education programs or for those who prefer to learn on their own.
“PIA already is known for its quality continuing education sessions and it just got better,” said Diane Kattrein, CAE, executive director, Professional Insurance Agents of New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire. “With PIA’s e-Training Center our members can take part in cost-effective education programs and earn all the CE credits they need without leaving their offices.”
Education courses are available for brokers, life consultants, general consultants, life/accident and health agents, life/accident and health brokers, public adjusters and property/casualty agents, and the insurance topics range from Basic Auto Insurance and Basic Life Insurance to Employee Benefit Programs and Ethics in Business.
The PIA e-Training Center’s professional skills courses are broken down into categories: recommended courses, business skills, desktop skills and technical skills, and cover a wide range of topics designed to help users learn how to manage their office environment and their technology more effectively.
PIANY, PIANJ, PIACT and PIANH is a partnership of four state trade associations representing independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout their respective states.
