Learn.net is your One-Stop for all live and on-demand training technologies, pre-integrated into a single knowledge management platform with reporting.
Strengthen Training Results and Reduce Costs with IDL (Interactive Distance Learning)
Overcome The Limitations of Both Instructor-Led and Online Courses Training
The Learn.net IDL (Interactive Distance Learning) and Collaboration product suite, enables the live and recorded delivery of interactive video based instructor(s)/SME training; plus interactive learner participation by people in remote locations. Many features exist. The instructor has many options for managing interactions.
The eTutor IDL solution goes far beyond WebEx-type solutions, and is fully a part of the pre-integrated “training envelope;” vs. just being an “island” of conferencing with no internal learning management for launching management, inserting tests, tracking all results and reporting. Its differences are overviewed at http://www.learn.net/Go_Beyond_Web-Ex-Type_Training_Solutions_Learn-net.pdf .
The IDL and Collaboration solutions are part of a holistic family of “blended” content and knowledge management solutions from Learn.net, “The Blended Learning Technology Company.” The IDL and Collaboration content delivery environments, plus the pre-integrated LMS and reporting, are powerful, safe, easy to install, easy to use, flexible for new programs, and cost effective. These combine to be a pre-integrated, once-source solution; for all enterprise training needs now and over time. Many integration problems are avoided.
The Blended Learning Technology & Services Company
An instructor’s audio/video is sent live across the network (Internet and/or satellite) to all participants. During a session, the instructor has the ability to display an extraordinary variety of rich media, ask questions, share documents, and talk over the network with any participant. Student interactive response options are many and all elements are stored in a database for reporting. Sessions can be recorded for on-demand use as needed. Applications can be shared virtually.
The IDL and Collaboration solutions were designed to meet remote, interactive, engaging training requirements via a web-based video and/or audio interface at the desktops of the instructor/SME and the remote trainees. The included Collaboration solution allows peers to interact with each other in numerous ways to also exchange “horizontal” knowledge, moderated from a central location, with central data storage for reporting. Whiteboarding markup, brainstorming, chat, messaging and more are supported. Multiple content media are supported also.
Video Based Instruction Enabled Instructors, SMEs and even students can be linked by video and audio communications. We provide the ability to build or deliver engaging interactive programs that can be deployed very quickly. The solutions can be used as a standalone training system or integrated with central systems, including existing learning management systems. A few capabilities are overviewed below.
IP Based Audio and Video Audio and video are provided by a standard PC microphone and web cam and delivered to all participants throughout the session over an IP connection. Multiple sessions can be delivered at the same time, providing your organization with complete flexibility. As an alternative to VoIP based audio, with additional PC hardware audio can be accepted from a telephone network or PBX.
Rich Media Delivery By using the very unique electonic Instructor Guide, the facilitator can send PowerPoint slides, graphics, animation, audio, video, documents, spreadsheets, or any other electronic media to the participants. Online and desktop applications can be shared. The facilitator has the ability to use a remote pointer to highlight areas of interest on each learner's PC.
Multiple Query Types During a session, the facilitator uses the Guide to issue a wide range of questions that include: true/false, yes/no, multiple choice, multiple selection, numeric, and text based or essay type questions. For language training, the solution also supports audio questions, audio answers, or a mix of both. Responses are captured in the database and displayed on both the facilitator and participant's screens. If desired, the facilitator can show a graph of the results.
Participants' Interaction, and Collaboration At any time the participant can request by keystroke to speak with the facilitator or the facilitator can call on any of the participants. Incoming call requests are managed in a call queue. When a participant calls in their audio is routed to all other participants so everyone can hear the conversation. Optionally, if the caller has a webcam they can send their video to the facilitator and the other participants. The facilitator also has an information button associated with participants and sites. Pressing this button will display more information on the participant or site, including a picture if one has been stored. For collaboration, see the separate flyer.
