Solutions
Learn.net technology training solutions help solve various business problems for more than half a million users. Following are a few examples:
Service
Industry
Many employees in the service industry are either mobile, or not
desk-bound. It is therefore a major challenge to train and certify
these employees who are constantly traveling or on the move.
Learn.net has developed an innovative solution to “reach out and teach”
these remote associates via the internet, in a classroom setting (as
opposed to at a PC).
Using Learn.net’s interactive response units (IRUs), service
industry employees can receive their on-boarding and initial training in a live
environment, and their recurring annual training via interactive,
on-demand courses delivered through the Learn.net system.
In one case, a Learn.net client also uses their interactive
Virtual Classroom to recruit and evaluate prospective new-hires with same-day
reports of their enterprise-wide recruiting efforts.

Retail
In the retail industry, Learn.net's CADE system is deployed to
train and certify retail
employees on company procedures and policies.
In one instance, the CADE system is used to broadcast live and
interactive classes via satellite from company headquarters several
times a week to teach topics like "managing conflict in the
workplace". Learners watch the instructor on a large screen in
their training room, and interact via wireless, Learn.net-supplied
interactive response units (IRU’s). Remote learners can respond to
quizzes and tests using their IRUs and talk with the instructor via the
built-in microphone; everyone in the virtual classroom hears the
questions asked, and benefits from the discussion and the answers.
One of the critical success factors in retail is the competence and
attitude of retailers' associates; with Learn.net’s Virtual Classroom system,
product, marketing and HR managers can reach out to thousands of employees in a
cost-effective and efficient manner, while maintaining a consistent
message.
Finance
Learn.net's
CADE learning technologies are also successfully deployed in the financial
services industry: they are serving the “back office” area, i.e.
training and certifying of associates. Learn.net’s financial clients
typically train anywhere from a few hundred to 300,000 employees;
courses typically cover company policies, annual security courses,
and product updates. All learner records are made
available in the form of reports to satisfy both legal
and product marketing managers; senior managers receive standard reports
(on a weekly schedule) or can track progress for themselves via an intuitive
dashboard.
As expected, this group of clients is particularly ROI-conscious. The Learn.net platform offers them a high ROI and a short payback period.
Compliance
Learn.net’s ComplianceTutor module enables organizations to
efficiently train thousands of associates located at remote stores or
field offices, track their participation and provide management with reports listing each associate’s compliance status.
Instructors use off-the-shelf PC and webcam technology to deliver
presentations via the internet. Remote Learners participate in the
live presentation by viewing the Instructor's video on a PC or TV screen
(projector), responding to test questions via wireless interactive response
units (IRU’s) and speaking with the Instructor via the built-in microphones
and the internet.
When Learners fail a compliance test, the CADE system automatically
assigns "remedial training" to each Learner, until 100% compliance is
reached. Read more...
Performance Support / Mobile
Performance support takes on many shapes; at Learn.net, interactive
and on-demand learning tools are used to create “just-in-time,
just-in-place, and just-enough” training content designed to aid
employees wherever they are to do their job better. Our society has evolved to a point
of immense productivity as the result of tools and knowledge sharing;
mobile delivery helps propel this trend to the next level.
Learn.net has developed a mobile “course” creation tool that allows novice users to produce a YouTube-like, interactive training course or job aid that can be delivered via iPhones, iPads, Androids or Blackberry devices. When learners complete the “mini course”, their scores can be uploaded to Learn.net’s LMW database. Read more...
