MAPLE “Learning Content Management” (LCMS) Provides Many Content and Learning Administration Capabilities Click here to download printable version. The Learn.net BUILD!, PROVIDE! and CONNECT! Solutions Brands Are Provided by The MAPLE-LCMS PRODUCT These four solutions build on each other, and comprise the Learn.net’s “Work Smarter, Not Harder” suite of knowledge excellence solutions for continuous training and education improvement. Each is briefly overviewed below, and they can be combined.
The MAPLE-LCMS product provides all of the capabilities for BUILD!, PROVIDE! and CONNECT!. These individual solution brands can be combined in any combination to meet enterprise needs. AICC or non-AICC complaint content can be hosted or remotely accessed, launched, managed and tracked. The content can be hosted at the customer’s site, at Learn.net, or at a third party’s site. The content type options are: Web courses (AICC compliant or not); SCORM-based Web content; CE courses; Compliance courses; Marketing or other materials, aids, etc.; Video and slides programs; Audio events/classes and slides programs; Courses or checklists, etc. for PDA’s; Wireless content; Extranet information for customers, partners; and more. Content can be accessed anywhere allowed and presented. SME’s and Instructional Designers can use the authoring component to generate AICC and SCORM-compatible course with many components. Courses are developed as “objects,” so that object element “re-use” is supported over time. The courses can be hosted at Learn.net or elsewhere, to be managed by the MAPLE- LCMS. The Learn.net Customer Services team can provide optional authoring services if desired. Multiple assessments and survey types are supported. True/False, Multiple Choice, Essay Response and Yes/No options exist. Test items presentation can be randomized. A Survey Manager capability is also provided. As each module is updated or changed, no other component “objects” are affected, providing speed and flexibility.  Multiple content types can be combined into “Curricula” for different knowledge program needs. Content can be of virtually any type, including online, video, classes, web-conferences, books, CD’s, and more. Learn.net sees its many pre-integrated solutions as “means” to the “ends” of “Enterprise Performance Improvement (EPI).” BUILD!, PROVIDE! and CONNECT! are specific modules of MAPLE-LCMS.. A customer can start with specific content needs (including Video), then add other capabilities over time, at the customer’s pace; for seamless growth and safety. LCMS content management functions can be augmented by MAPLE LMS functions, for controlled learner assignments, certifications management, etc. All solutions are synergistic, and comprehensive reporting options exist to track all knowledge improvement activities, as well as variances from goals.

Numerous course authoring options exist in MAPLE-LCMS, allowing fast, easy, effective course development. Also, use of the popular course development tools is also supported. Courses can be placed in catalogs and can be made part of curricula as needed by the SME (Subject Matter Experts). Bookmarking, multiple lessons, completion rules, etc. are supported. 
Active quizzing and testing are supported, from within the course itself if so authored, or external to it. Complete results reporting is supported, and minimum scores criteria can be set by the author. All results are tracked in the MAPLE-LCMS database. 
“Courses” can also be groups of modularized components, inclusive of a class, a pre-test, a post-test, a survey, supplemental materials (e.g., a manual to read), and more. 
Many Skills, CE and other online courses are provided, to supplement internal courses. 
Email Manager allows automated course access, alerts, notifications, and other capabilities. This capability greatly simplifies the administration process. 
Tracking and reporting options are strong, including many standard reports on usage, scores, deadlines, etc. Learners, managers, administrators and others can access transcripts and results reports on a “Permissions” basis.
